Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you accept?

We start enrolling infants at 6 weeks old all the way up to Pre-K 5.

 

What are the teaching qualifications of your staff?

We are licensed through the State of Texas (THHS) and all employees are required to pass a background check and are CPR and First Aid certified. We are a 4-Star Texas Rising Star (TRS) school and we partner with Texas School Ready (TSR) and PreK4SA. All teachers meet or exceed all state and TRS requirements which include a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education each year.

 

What are your hours of operation?

We are open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.* Monday through Friday with a 9:00 a.m. cut-off time. For a current list of school closures please click here.

Do I need to make an appointment to tour the school?

In order to ensure that someone is available to give you a tour and answer all of your questions please call us at (210) 824-1392 to schedule a tour.

How can I obtain information about tuition?

Tuition varies according to the age of the child being enrolled. Infants are enrolled on a full-time basis only; part time enrollment begins at 18 months old. Please call our office at (210) 824-1392 to inquire about our current tuition fees.

What are your admission requirements?

Blessed Sacrament Child Development Center is open to all children regardless of race, ethnic background, or religion. Children may be enrolled anytime during the year.

 

All enrollment forms must be complete and filled out prior to your child attending:

  • Completed Application and Fees

  • Up to Date Immunization Form

  • Health Assessment

  • Emergency Form

  • Medication Form if Applicable

  • Vision and Hearing Screening for Children Four Years and Older

 

Do children have to be potty-trained to be enrolled?

Children enrolling in our 2 year old program do not have to be toilet-trained.  However, children must be fully toilet-trained (able to use bathroom by themselves, flushing the toilet and washing hands, practice good hygiene and be in underwear), upon entering our Pre-K 3 classroom. Children entering our Pre-K 3 Program must also be able to feed themselves and be able to communicate verbally.

 

What if I’d like to enroll but the center doesn’t have space available?

If you have toured our school and are interested in being added to our waiting list we will take your information and the registration fee and you will be placed next in line.
