Programs Available:
Infants and Toddler Care ages 6 weeks to 2 years.
Pre-School ages 3 years to 5 years.
Blessed Sacrament Child Development Center has been in operation since 1980 and over the years we have developed a full and engaging faith based education program. Our children are exposed to a variety of experiences such as art, music, language enrichment centers, religion, field trips, and guest speakers in addition to traditional academic content areas.
Our curriculum is designed to provide the child with skills that encourage self-assurance and problem solving capabilities. Children become actively involved in the learning process by using a variety of “hands on” activities that reflect their daily life. Age appropriate educational materials are provided to children in our Center. From the toddlers to the four year olds; stories, projects, songs, games, and activities are available for the children in our care. They are geared to young learners with an eye toward being interactive, hands on, fun, and process-oriented. With young children it is important to note that the end result of a project in not as important as the learning that occurs during the making of it. It is also a well-researched fact that young children learn best through their play. The curriculum utilized by the teachers here reflects the philosophy.

Lessons and Assessments
The curriculum emphasizes the growth of the whole child. As children grow and develop, the classroom schedule and learning environment become more complex. Activities are organized into age-appropriate units of learning, with each classroom having weekly lesson plans that are developed around our curriculum as well as monthly learning themes. In addition, we bring in visitors through out the school year to enforce the lessons taught. Assessments are done several times a year with the option of parent/teacher conferences.
Staff and Ratios
Here at Blessed Sacrament C.D.C. student to teacher ratios are kept slightly below the mandated state ratios. Each employee is thoroughly screened before becoming part of our community and is required to take CPR and First Aid training along with an additional 30 hours of child development related training per year.
